From the Editors

Greetings,

We are pleased to offer issue 8.3 of TESL-EJ. We hope you will find the articles, reviews, and columns here informative and enlightening.

More importantly, the Editors of TESL-EJ are saddened by the loss of so many lives, and the threat of disease and homelessness in Southeast Asia as a result of the recent tsunamis. As members of an international community, we are all deeply affected, both directly and indirectly, by the devastation experienced by so many of our friends, colleagues, and families.

You receive TESL-EJ as a free publication, as a result of many hours of volunteer work. We ask that you now volunteer in return by contributing to the relief effort in Southeast Asia. For your convenience, we list here several reputable charities working to provide direct assistance to those whose lives have been affected by this tragedy. There are many more charities doing good work as well.
