From The Editor

Hello to our readers around the world...

It has become nearly a cliche to begin each issue by explaining the changes that we are undergoing, but that is what I will do once again. We have some major changes you'll find in this issue, and very exciting ones at that.

First, at the Chicago TESOL, the Editorial Board decided that rather than wait for a full complement of "lead articles" we will instead publish issues regularly, then add lead articles as they are accepted. Therefore, for this issue, you will find the usual range of reviews and columns, but there will be only one lead article to begin. As others are accepted, they will be added to the issue, so check back with us regularly!

Second, we are beginning a new column as well. It is called the "Symposium," and it will present qualified readers an opportunity to present their opinions on one of our lead articles. The first symposium will be published in this issue. It is moderated by editorial board member Roland Sussex of University of Queensland, Australia.

In addition, our special CALL issue, edited by Larry Selinker of Birkbeck College, University of London, is coming soon, too! So, there is a lot to look forward to.

We have also added another site to our family of servers. We hope this will continue to ease traffic and serve our European readers. Thanks go to Janet Sutherland, also an editorial board member, for getting this site set up. We can now be found at three different locations:

We urge anyone who has links to us on their own pages to update those links as you see fit. Of course, we still have our LISTSERV files, and will continue to offer ascii-only versions of our journal.

As always, we are always in need of good reviewers and article submissions. Please contact the appropriate editor if you would like to contribute to our award-winning publication.

Best wishes,

Maggie Sokolik
